By utilizing an open-access model provided by the Roanoke based Roanoke Valley Broadband Authority, MtnNet can provide superior connectivity in areas with low to no connectivity. MtnNet's signal is broadcast over the wireless band instead over cellular or satellite. This allows MtnNet to bring speeds to customers of 25Mbps and beyond. MtnNet runs on a Point to Point link from Roanoke to Poor Mountain and a Point to Multi-Point link directly to you. You can see a representation of this model to the right.
